FAMILY MATTERS!
-
I know I have told you boys that friends come and go but your family is forever, but this holiday season, I had a deeper revelation of what that means to me and how it should be put into action. Here is the post on my other Blog for you to read someday!

Shenendoah Camping Trip - Fall 2005

This was our second annual Fall Camping trip to Shenendoah National Park. It was great to have Aunt Amanda along too. We headed out Saturday after Noah's soccer game, and drove to the beginning of Skyline Drive (by the way, you guys were amazing in the car -- smile). Than, we began our drive down Skyline. At milepost 9.2, we parked the car and did some hiking (1.3 mile hike, to be exact). And it was GEORGOUS!!! Pictures don't even capture how amazing it was.

At the half way point, we came on a waterfall. We pulled up on a log just above the waterfall, and had a little picnic. It was fun. You guys began talking and decided that being out in nature, and enjoying what God made was way more fun that playing on what man invented, a.k.a. "The Playstation". And I must admit, this is a great discovery you have made. Nature is amazing. What God created is breath taking. And being out in nature seems to bring simplicity to life and what it is all about. It's so important to connect with God through His creation from time to time. I hope this is a memory that will cause you to be in awe at God Himself. And I hope it is something you will do - - that is, get away from all the noise and hustle and bustle of life to connect with God through His creation!

This is such a great memory for me! I absolutely love spending time with you camping. I love the hiking, the roasting marshmellows and hot dogs on the fire, telling campfire stories, looking up and all the stars (we saw our first shooting star on this trip, Noah), trying to make the fire as big as possible, climbing rocks and trees and hills, peeing in the woods, sleeping in a cabin together, snuggling up when it gets cold, driving up and down the moutain, and just being together. You boys are the light of my life. You are so special to me and I love to spend time together with you!!! Don't ever forget how special you are to me! Noah and Sammy - #1 in your Dad's heart! Can't wait until our next camping trip!

"Trick-or-Treat"

Some pictures from Halloween! We had fun, but you guys WORE ME OUT! My feet were killin' me by the time we got home! But it was worth it to see how excited you guys were with all your candy! And after you spread it out, your favorite thing to do is trade candies! I can always see the little business side of you both when you wheel-n-deal with each other! Fun times!!!

Pumpkin Carving & Annual Cox Farm Trek

Pumpkin Carver's in the House! We had a blast last weekend carving your boys pumpkins. Than we went to Cox Farm this weekend. It has become an annual event for us to go with your cousins to Cox Farm. You guys have a blast going into the goat farm, sliding down the ginormous slides (there are about 8 different ones), going on the hayride, eating freshly made applesauce, drinking fresh apple cider, playing on the hay mounds and crawling underneath in the hay tunnels, swinging on the rope and landing in the foam pit, eating kettle corn, and just running around! We love to see you having so much fun! One of the most important things in life is to have fun whenever there is a chance! Don't ever lose that sense of adventure and excitement over the little things in life that are fun! Too many people in the world are way too serious! Remember to have fun whenever you can!!!
