The Way Things Are Supposed To Be!

I came across these photo's on the web today, and was just abolutely amazed. Sammy, I thought you would especially like these b/c you love animals so much! These are by a photographer named Gregory Colbert. They are actual pictures that have not been digitally altered in any way. These children are actually sitting with these animals. Isn't that amazing! It's powerful and innocent and beautiful. It's the way things were supposed to be!

When God created the earth, He created it for man and animal to inhabit together. To live together. To live side by side. There was no evil. There was no destruction. The earth was a place of peace. But somehow, man messed it all up! He got greedy. You know the story about the apple and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. You know about satan tempting Adam and Eve and telling them they would be like God. And it all got messed up!

But what I love about these pictures is that they show that no matter how much evil and falleness there is in the world, the very core of creation still desires this peace. The peace and beauty of these pictures is within all creation b/c this is how we were intended to be.

The sad part is that it will never fully get back to that point on this earth. The absolutely awesome part is that it will be this way in Heaven! Like Jesus promised, "The Lion will lay withe the Lamb". Little boys will read to elephants. Little boys will snuggle up to Cheetahs! You and me and all of creation will be transformed into what God intended us to be before sin entered the world. PERFECT!

To me, these photo's capture one small aspect of how awesome it will be in Heaven, by the grace of Jesus, who forgives us all our failures!!!

I love you boys, and I am so excited about being in Heaven together some day!!!
